The Lesbian Housewives of New York
Season 15, Episode 7: Dodging Rumors
Alright, Bravo-holics, gather round because we need to talk about the lesbian energy on the latest RHONY episode. Yes, two queer couples in one season. Who knew representation could feel this refreshing? If you’re not thrilled, you’re reading the wrong blog post.
First up, Racquel Chevremont and her fiancée, Mel Corpus. I mean, how cool are these two? They’re giving effortless NYC power couple vibes, and I’m eating it up. Seeing them casually dominate the lesbian bar scene in Brooklyn makes me feel so seen (this was the same bar that I watched the 2024 election in).
The episode treated us to a little double date with Erin Lichy and her husband, Abe, who earned a new descriptor from Mel: “lesbian sensitive.” And honestly? It’s perfect. Abe and Mel vibing over their matching leather jackets. These two? They’re the chill friends you want at your party to diffuse tension when someone inevitably flips a table.
And then… we have Brynn and Jenna.
Brynn steps out in a T-shirt that screams, “Move, I’m Gay.” Iconic, right? Except she’s not actually gay. Oh, Brynn. The queen of queerbaiting since the RHONY reboot began. But—and it’s a juicy but—her antics seem to do something magical for Jenna Lyons, who looks like she’s still unpacking her queer identity on national TV. Is it problematic? Kind of. Does it make for excellent TV? You bet.
I’m not totally anti this dynamic, however: Brynn might just be Jenna’s queer hype woman, helping her lean into her authentic self. Sure, the queerbaiting can feel meh, and yes, we all wish Jenna would bring her fiancée on screen for some bona fide lesbian visibility. But there’s a certain tenderness between these two that hints Brynn’s antics are coming from a good place. Even if she’s wearing a T-shirt that feels like it came out of a TikTok algorithm.
Bottom line: queer representation on Bravo is climbing, and I am here for it. Bring on Kyle Richards, bring on the conversations, and let’s keep this momentum rolling. I’ll be back to spill more tea on queer couples in RHONY and RHOBH—because who doesn’t love a sapphic subplot with a side of drama?
Stay tuned, darlings. You won’t want to miss what’s next. 🌈 #BrynnLove #LesbianVisibility
